  FRANCISCO CAÑAMAQUE JIMÉNEZ

(1851-1891) He is born in Gaucín the 22 of September of 1851. Journalist, writer and politician, as well as Advisor of the Supreme one of Navy.
Deputy to Cortes in diverse occasions, after the death of Alfonso XII, Sagasta trusted the Undersecretary's office to it of the Presidency that carried out until 1886 in which it resigned.
Later they offered General Intendance of Puerto Rico and the Civil Government to him of Manila, that he refused.
In 1881 it published " La España ", liberal newspaper of which was proprietor, collaborating in many other newspapers.
It belonged to the Geographic Society of Madrid, the Academy of Indochina of Paris, to the Athenian of Madrid, the Real Academy of History and to the Congress of Americanist.
As writer were prolífico, because he published:
"Los oradores" in 1869, "El héroe de Puigcerdá", "Manual de Derecho Administrativo", "Miscelánea historia, política y literaria" "El prisionero de Estado" "Recuerdo de Filipinas" "El derecho", "Ángela", "Las Islas Filipinas", etc

  FRANCISCO SERRATO GAVILÁN
 (1869-1936) Civil employee of the Ministry of Property and Private secretary of Don Antonio Maura.
In 1926 it returns definitively to Gaucín and with its economic contributions the Municipal Cemetery was constructed and helped the humblest classes.
Son favorite of Gaucín was named.		  
       
  ENRIQUE MAYORGA RASA Commander of Infantry, was born in Gaucín (Malaga) January 29, l849.
Its first destiny was the Regiment of Infantry of Iberia nº 30 of garrison in Zaragoza the year of 1865. On the 11 of June of 1872, embarked in the port of Barcelona with destiny al Army of Philippines, with the employment of Lieutenant, disembarking in Manila July 27.
In the year of 1877 contracted marriage on the 8 of January with Dª. Rosario Otalora, natural of Manila, to return to the Peninsula December 17, day that disembarked in Barcelona of the year 1878. It returns from new to Philippines, residing in Baler, locality of the Islands Batanes of the District of the Prince with the employment of Captain, elevates al employment of Commander. Being known to title of curiosity, that was subscribed to the Historic Library Filipino by the year of 1892; returns finally with the employment of Commander in 1896 on board of the vapor mail "Island of Mindanao", disembarking in the port from Barcelona July 12, 1896.
In the metropolis would remain to its retreat in August of 1899.
