CASTLE OF THE EAGLE |
Arab strength
of century X, although apparently previously had been Roman strength,
of that they conserve wall, tower of the Tribute, rain tanks, sentry
boxes, etc. It lost strategic importance after reconquers it, but
it returned to take relevance in the fights against the French troops
and with the carlistas wars, in 1836.
In the middle of century XIX the explosion of the powder magazine
destroyed part of the foraleza and caused its partial abandonment.
In its interior is the hermitage of Santo Niño. .

CHURCH OF SAN SEBASTIÁN |
It was erected the 12 of November of 1487. In 1505 Diego de Deza
was created like Parish by D., Archbishop of Seville; Julio II was
confirmed by Bula of the Pope, in 1510.
In his outside he is simple, with brick cover, of escarzano arc,
with columns and triangular court. To a side one is leaned a quadrangular
tower
He consists of three ships separated by arcs of average point and
sustained by heavy pillars of square plan with leaned columns that
present arcs as well.
Prebisterio is of quadrangular base with cupola maintained on pechinas.
To both sides, forming part of the lateral ships, exists two chapels
covered with vault of edge with reminiscences barroques.

The altarpiece presents three differentiated wood bodies affluent,
golden with images, of which most important it is the sculpture
of the Virgin of Snows.
The central ship is covered with vault of average tube with several
lunetos. It today had a choir turned into baptistry. The lateral
ships present leaned several altars and small chapels.
It has valuable goldsmither religious.

CONVENT OF THE CARMELITES |
Old
denominated hermitage Side Cross. In their dependencies Carmelite
friars settled until the erection of the new convent.
In 1700, Bartholomew of the River, asked for D. Juan Carlos Alonso
Perez de Guzmán the Good one, Duke of Medina Sidonia and Gentleman
on whom Villa depended, Carmelite permission to erect a Convent of
Barefoot in the lot that occupied the mentioned hermitage. This authorization
was granted, in Madrid the 12 of November of 1700 and being inaugurated
the 15 of August of 1704.
The building is of brick, has adorned the central stone door with
pilasters that sustain a divided triangular court, in whose interior
is a hornacina more and up one camerlitano shield. In the lateral
one straight there is a brick tower also, of two bodies, with arcs
of average point.
The plant is rectangular with three separated ships by arches of average
point, sustained by quadrangular pillars.
The central ship, with high altitude, is covered by assembling of
parhilera.
The lateral ships, of smaller height, also have tenchumbre of wood
with blind arcs and pilasters leaned to the closing of the lateral
walls.
In the head of the temple a chapel or sacristy exists, of irregular
polígonal plant, covered by a ochavada cupola.
The 6 of November of 1982, the Bishopric yielded it to the Municipal
Corporation.

HERMITAGE OF SANTO NIÑO
Castle |
Located in the interior of the Castle, it was constructed in century
XVII.
The outside is of rubblework with a small vestibule.
The interior has two ships; one, covered with vault carpanel and
overloaded with vegetal decoration; he is quadrangular with edge
vault.
The other, of century XVIII, is narrower and has a dressing room
dedicated to San Juan de Dios, is square with pilasters, cover with
hemispheric and recharged vault of gypsum.

HERMITAGE OF SANTO NIÑO

Also
call of the encounter , to the being in that place where, according
to account the tradition, Juan Ciudad (San Juan de Dios) coming of
Gibraltar in the month of August of 1536, had an encounter with Santo
Niño.
This hermitage is of modern construction, because in May of 1960,
the first stone was placed and the religious act presided over parish
priest D. Diego Franco Barea and monks of the Order of San Juan de
Dios.

FOUNTAIN OF THE SIX TUBES |
One is in lateral of the scuare of Jose a Antonio constructed in
1628 his style is baroque Andalusian. Made in stone arenaceous and
marked by a fronton and two pilasters. The pillars lack base and
on its feet they are voluminous pylons, cubical drinking troughs
and socle.
The capitals are formed by series of boards superposed with with
curvilinear and angular entrants.
The court is divided in geometric spaces presenting six faces or
sources with great overdone. Over the capitals there is a cornice
that simulates to maintain the other two bodies.
The second body rectangular and is framed; it presents, to side
ones braces.
There is an inscription:

ESTA BILLA ANO

The elevated part more is composed by a closed fronton, in whose
center it has a nobiliary shield of arms, that was possibly the
one of dominion.
The shield has a profuse vegetal decoration with curved and mixed
lines that proliferate in the baroque one of century XVII.
All the architectonic assembly presents a geometric decoration barroque.
